Which subjects and grade levels does MindRise offer?

All STAAR tested subjects and grade levels. 

OnDemand

Algebra is currently available with all other STAAR tested subjects and grade levels coming soon.

All grade levels (K-12) for Math, Reading, Writing, Science, Social Studies.

How are MindRise programs delivered?

OnLine

 Students log onto the MindRise site via our live learning platform. Instructors and students collaborate using an interactive whiteboard and live-feed video. Using research-based curriculum, our instructors teach concepts in the main "room" of the platform. Students periodically shift to their personal breakout rooms to practice and demonstrate newly learned skills where the instructor joins each student to monitor their understanding, discuss concepts, and answer individual questions as they arise.

OnDemand

Students log into their assigned TEKS video to watch an engaging step-by-step explanation and demonstration of that specific TEKS concept. MindRise OnDemand features enthusiastic instructors who students can both hear and see, creating a familiarity and connection which inspires students to actively engage in the learning process.  Each topic includes thorough instruction and an opportunity for students to practice with academic support and encouragement from the instructor each step of the way. 

OnCall

Students sign up for a scheduled block of time or jump into a session when needed. Each session is one-on-one and targeted to that students current needs. Once a student signs onto the MindRise site, the student and instructor communicate using our interactive whiteboard and live-feed video. The instructor explains concepts, answers questions, and reviews skills to increase the student's understanding and motivation. 

How many students participate in MindRise programs?

OnLine

Each MindRise instruction group consists of 5 students. The total number of student groups is up to each campus. Most campuses have 100 to 500 students participating in the MindRise program. 

OnDemand

Each On-Demand video program is accessible to all of a classroom teacher's students at any time throughout the school year. 

OnCall

MindRise OnCall is available to all of the campus's registered students. 

Do same students attend the entire program?

OnLine

To ensure the maximum impact, we maintain the same students for the duration of the program. 

OnDemand

Teachers may offer the videos to their students however it works best for their classroom. 

OnCall

All students have access to OnCall throughout the program.

If a student can no longer attend, can another student take that slot?

OnLine

Yes, if a student is no longer enrolled in a MindRise program, a new student is able to take that slot for the remainder of the program.

All students in the teacher's class have access to the videos at any time throughout the school year. 

OnCall

All students have access to OnCall throughout the program.

How long do MindRise programs run?

OnLine

The length of MindRise OnLine programs are dependent on each campus's goals for student progress. While every program yields growth, longer programs see the greatest gains in both TEKS understanding and STAAR performance. Most campuses choose MindRise programs that run 4 to 9 months. 

OnDemand

Each OnDemand program is available to classroom teachers for the entire duration of the school year. 

OnCall

The length of MindRise OnCall programs are dependent on each campus's need for student support. 

When does MindRise instruction take place?

How many hours per week do students attend MindRise programs?

Students attend an average of 4 to 8 hours per week.

How long is each MindRise session?

OnLine

Campuses can choose any daily time segment that works with their schedule. Most campuses choose somewhere between 45 and 90 minute daily segments. 

Notes: Sessions are priced in 45 minute segments. Some campuses choose for their students to attend 90 to 180 minutes every other day.

Student participation time is dependent on each classroom teacher's schedule and need. 

OnCall

MindRise OnCall sessions are dependent on each student's need at that time. Most sessions are between 5 and 30 minutes.

How do campuses arrange time for MindRise sessions? 

OnLine

Virtual Synchronous: MindRise OnLine can be worked into students' schedules at any time during the school day.

Virtual Asynchronous: MindRise OnLine can be offered during the school day at the student's convenience.

On-Campus: Schools can choose to offer MindRise OnLine during electives, intervention classes, or core classes in order to reduce class sizes and accommodate social distancing.

OnDemand

Virtual Synchronous: Teachers can assign MindRise OnDemand videos can be assigned at any time during the school day.

Virtual Asynchronous: MindRise OnDemand can be offered during the school day at the student's convenience.

On-Campus: Teachers can assign MindRise OnDemand videos anytime throughout the school day. Most teachers choose their class time or during an intervention class.

OnCall

MindRise OnCall is available to all students at anytime during the school day.

What materials does MindRise supply for its programs?

OnLine

MindRise OnLine programs include the instructors, curriculum, online platform, and student headsets (as needed). The only items supplied by the student and/or campus are computers and internet access. 

OnDemand

MindRise OnDemand programs include the video instructor and curriculum. The only items supplied by the campus (or student) are computers, internet access, and headphones (if needed). 

OnCall

MindRise OnCall programs include the instructors, online platform, and student headsets (as needed). The only items supplied by the student and/or campus are computers and internet access. 

What is the pricing for MindRise programs? 

OnLine

Most student sessions run between $7 and $10. The rate is dependent on the length of the program and number of students participating, with the lowest rates associated with longer programs and/or larger student counts. 

OnDemand

Video program access pricing is dependent on the number of subscription months, with the monthly rates running between $1,200 and $2,000.

OnCall

Most daily instructor rates run between $250 and $400. The rate is dependent on the length of the program and number of instructors requested, with the lowest rates associated with longer programs and/or large instructor counts. 

How do campuses fund MindRise programs?

OnLine

Most campuses/districts use grant funds, such as Title I, ESSERF, Gear up, Priority Schools, etc. to pay for MindRise OnLine.

OnDemand

Most campuses/districts use grant funds, such as Title I, ESSERF, Gear up, Priority Schools, etc. to pay for MindRise OnDemand.

OnCall

Most campuses/districts use grant funds, such as Title I, ESSERF, Gear up, Priority Schools, etc. to pay for MindRise OnCampus.
